A recording of MTV's TV&MEDIA event, organised on Thursday, 16 January 2025, has been released on the Katsomo streaming service. It is available only in Finnish:
From the antenni team, psychologist Satu Lähteenkorva participated in TV&MEDIA's Responsibility Panel Now speaking! Responsible management and well-being employers. Satu introduced the rule of three Ts, the rule of three Ps, and the term kanssalainen (fellow).
There is a rule of three Ts associated with change and the growth phase situation:
Recognise (Tunnista) – identifying and recognising an issue
Acknowledge (Tunnusta) – acknowledging the recognised issue, but acknowledging hurts because you have to admit the recognised thing.
Action (Toimi) – acknowledgement is followed by action, which creates hope (Toivo).
Satu also reminded us of the brain-ergonomic challenges of the industry because the brain loves order and predictability.
The rule of the three Ps is related to growth and learning because "paradoxically, the prerequisite for all growth and learning is stopping, because only then can you see something clearly", as Satu has stated.
Stop (Pysäkki)
Perspective (Perspektiivi)
Push (Patistelu)
The term kanssalainen (fellow) describes a person with whom “one experiences and does something authentic and meaningful, experiencing togetherness”.
Executive Director of APFI Laura Kuulasmaa, CEO of Yellow Film & TV Lasse Koskinen, Senior Specialist at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health Heli Ansio, and Executive Producer at MTV Maria Vanninen also participated in the Responsibility Panel. The discussion was moderated by Jenni Pääskysaari.
As part of APFI's Avaus Sustainability Project, the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health executed the study Coping and health of professionals in independent production companies' film and TV productions (AVAT) which can be found here:
